Working and working

I don’t get paid to bring work home with me but I’ve been doing it lately. It is either that or sit alone at the office after everybody else has gone home. I’ve done that before and it creeps me out being there by myself. Plus I have to set the alarm when I leave and I didn’t like doing that at all. I was nervous I would screw it up and the place would get robbed and I’d be to blame. I’m going out to grab a bite to eat with my friend Charles here soon then when I get back I need to do some research into audio conferencing systems. My boss wants a new one and I of course got put in charge of finding one. I tried to do it at work today but I had so much other stuff going on that it was impossible. I think I’m going to sit down with my boss after the New Year and ask him about getting paid for work I do at home. The worst thing he can say is no. It isn’t like he’s going to be mad at me for putting in the extra hours.
